About the Author

Rajat Chattopadhyay

Dr. Rajat Chattopadhyay is MD (Hom.) from the National Institute of Homoeopathy, Salt Lake, Kolkata. He is presently a Reader in Mahesh Bhattacharya Homoeopathic Medical College and Hospital, and is the HOD of Practice of Medicine department. He is also a PG guide and Examiner in various renowned PG colleges across India. His keen interest is to coordinate the allied subjects with the homoeopathic subjects i.e. to perceive the allied subjects in the light of homoeopathic philosophy. He has presented many papers in different scientific seminars at state and national level and has written many scientific articles in different journals, magazines, and souvenirs.

The Clinical Part illustrates the Anatomy, Physiology, and investigations etc of the cardiovascular system. The Disease Part talks about every possible disorder of CVS ranging from Congenital Cyanotic Heart Diseases to Ischemic Heart Disease and Cardiac Failure. In this new second edition, the homeopathic therapeutics of each section has been added at the end of each chapter, this will help in overcoming the difficulties usually faced by the practitioners. In chapter "Hypertension" the author talks about the general measures which should be opted for its management in day to day basis and emphasizes on the need of constitutional medicines for the same. The Materia Medica section is based on H C Allen Keynotes, Tylers Pointers to common remedies and Boerickes Materia Medica. Dr Rajat has concentrated to enrich the subject "Homeopathic Practice of Medicine” which will prove beneficial to the homeopathic practitioners as well as to clinicians.
