EL PRESCRIPTOR es sin duda alguna una obra completísima que está constituida de cuatro grandes apartados. En la primera parte, Clarke tiene el objetivo de enseñarnos cómo practicar la homeopatía y cómo servirnos de las diferentes herramientas con las que contamos como homéopatas: Materia Medicas, Repertorios, Filosofías, etc. En la segunda parte, Clarke se enfoca en la toma de caso, el valor que tiene para poder llegar al simililimum. En la tercera parte, el autor nos expone el plan de EL PRESCRIPTOR con sus reglas y algunas ejemplificaciones. La cuarta parte está conformada por una lista de los medicamentos con abreviaciones y signos; finalmente, se encuentra el verdadero Prescirptor, esto es una suerte de repertorio mucho más fácil de usar y con muchos detalles respecto de la potentización y la dosificación.

John Henry Clarke, MD (1853–1931), was a prominent English classical homeopath. He was also, arguably, the most important antisemite in Great Britain. He led The Britons. Dr. Clarke was a busy practitioner. As a physician he not only had his own clinic in Piccadilly, London, but he also was a consultant at the London Homeopathic Hospital and researched into new remedies — nosodes.
