About the Author

Dr. V.K. Chauhan is working as Professor in Medicine and
Pediatrics at Nehru Homeopathic Medical College, Delhi. He
joined this institution as Demonstrator in 1977 and
subsequently rose to become Professor. He has undergone
training at various institutions in India., U.K. & USA. He is MD
in Repertory. He has been awarded State Award 2006, Delhi
Govt. for his untiring work in the field of homeopathy. He is
currently involved at institutional level in teaching undergraduate
& post graduate students at different institutions.
Dr. Meeta Gupta is B.H.M.S. from Nehru Homeopathic Medicial
College & Hospital, New Delhi and is pursuing M.D. in Materia
Medica. She has also done PGDHA form Y.M.C.A., New Delhi.
She is also M.Sc. (Ecology & Environment) from Indian Institute
of Ecology & Environment, New Delhi. She is presently working
as Medical officer in Dr. B.R. Sur Homeopathic Medical College,
Hospital & Research Centre, New Delhi. She has co-authored
many books on homeopathy with Dr. V.K. Chauhan.

Students” is a wholesome book for preparing for
competitive examinations in Homeopathy like UPSC,
PSC, MD Entrance, BHMS viva and other similar exams
has long been awaited by the students. This book by Dr.
Chauhan has been prepared to help the students crack the
examination with minimum hassles.

This book contains about 3000 questions covers all the
12 subjects of BHMS syllabus. It also contains a section on
guidelines for preparation for examinations along with a
subject wise division of MCQs in U.P.S.C. from each subject.
Dr. Chauhan has also paid special emphasis to types
of Questions most frequently asked in examinations with a
special note on the mistakes usually made by the students.
Encompassing the whole of syllabus in a single book is an
impossible tast but the author has taken full care to help
the student in revising the full course.

We have had books giving the answers but the explanations
of answers along with the extended information on
the subject helps student to revise quickly. The Source and
reference books of answers along with their chapter and
page numbers add authenticity to the work.

Along with it also contains chapter on various institutions
and Organisation of Homeopathy viz CCH, CCRH,
NIH etc; History of Homeopathy in India which would
prove useful for interviews.
Since this is a fi rst att empt many spelling, grammatical
and reference mistakes are there which can be corrected
in the subsequent editions. Some controversial questions
such as: “Hahnemann is the father of Repertory; Boenninghausen’s
Repertory is BBCR or BTPB” have not been clarifi
ed and the doubt still remains in the minds of students regarding
the correct answer.
Inspite of being one of the fi rst of its kind the book
proves to be promising and we expect that in its forthcoming
edition it would come out with more additions and
