Vithoulkas Expert System (VES) |
What Is an Expert System? |
An Expert System is a set of rules that reproduces the thinking of an expert in
a given field. It not only recalls data with 100% accuracy, it also processes and
evaluates the data according to the methods of the expert. The Vithoulkas Expert
System (VES) was created in collaboration with world-renowned master homeopath,
George Vithoulkas. VES duplicates his unique thought process in symptom analysis
and remedy selection, working with the Synthesis Repertory in RADAR. VES uses all
the principles and understanding that George uses himself and it does so every second
the System is computing. |
How does VES work? |
The Vithoulkas Expert System interprets a homeopath’s input to
suggest which remedy questions should be asked and it further orients their study
of materia medica. VES then arrives at just one, possibly surprising, result. That
result takes into account all the patient’s symptoms and is based on a consideration
of all the remedies - whether they are the better known polychrests or a rare remedy
which figures only once in a rubric. |
Even Better Than Human Experts |
George Vithoulkas’ brilliance can help every homeopath to checkmate illness with
the precision of a Grand Master. |
Going Beyond Human Reasoning |
Since the day of its release, hundreds of homeopaths use VES in their day-to-day
practice and from the beginning it has received highly enthusiastic, and even astonished
reactions. VES regularly finds real and unexpected cures, even in the most desperate
cases. |
Profound Flexibility |
As a general rule, VES considers mind symptoms to be more important
than local ones. You don’t have to pre-select particular symptoms before using the
Expert System. The VES takes care of this itself by using all the symptoms and selecting
the most appropriate rubrics. Every time you add a new symptom, VES re-evaluates
the whole case and gives you a full, completely new analysis. |

Vakil Module |
Prof. Dr. Prakash D. Vakil’s Aid to Confirm the Simillimum - (VACS)
VACS helps the homeopath: |
1. Find the right remedy |
2. Confirm a given remedy |
3. Differentiate between two closely related remedies |
Based on 30 years of clinical experience in homeopathy, the Vakil Module is a system
developed to simplify your homeopathic prescription and/or confirm a certain remedy
by the application of tongue, color and moon phase symptoms. The live sound samples
of coughs and pictures of tongues integrated into VACS help the homeopath in comparing
and confirming a remedy. These media descriptions go far beyond any written description
in helping to learn the difference between various tongues and coughs. |

Sankaran Miasmatic Analysis |
Dr. Rajan Sankaran has worked throughout the years of his practice to generate a system
of homeopathy that gives consistent results. He has developed a powerful classification
of remedy states into kingdoms and arrived at a unique understanding of the miasms –
and in the process he has added new miasms to those already known. Dr. Sankaran has
assigned many remedy states to each Miasm, and developed a host of clinically useful
in sights with his approach to classification.
| |
Integrate with RADAR |
Archibel and WholeHealthNow, in conjunction with Dr. Sankaran, have prepared a special
download for RADAR and Encyclopedia Homeopathica. This addition will integrate new
analysis capabilities into your software, according to the Sankaran classification
system. Dr. Sankaran continues to develop his work, and your one time fee of $30
US entitles you to receive all future updates for free. |
Free Additional Materials |
Dr. Sankaran has also prepared some additional material for your use in conjunction
with this analysis software. This MS Word document includes: |
1. A short summary of each miasm |
2. A chart explaining various aspects of each miasm |
3. Key words of each miasm |

Ewald Stöteler module |
| Ewald Stöteler (Netherlands) has developed a module describing a way to divide
symptoms in 8 different classes:
1. Constitutional (psora) |
2. Incidents and biography |
3. Inherited tendencies |
4. Sycosis |
5. Acute miasmatic |
6. Epidemic |
7. Iatrogenic intoxication |
8. Syphilis |
This module tries to estimate what class is the most important to cure first in
the current situation and guides you accordingly e.g. when a patient has influenza
caused by an epidemic flue, it may be better to try and handle the symptoms for
this epidemic situation before handling the constitutional symptoms. |
Using this methodology, the homeopath can do “first things first” instead of having
to find the “silver bullet” to cure a patient. |

Scholten Module |
The Scholten Module was developed by Archibel, the creators of RADAR and Encyclopaedia
Homeopathica in close cooperation with Jan Scholten. It was designed to enable homeopaths
to use the computer to work with Jan’s systematic concepts presented in his book
Homeopathy and the Elements. (His other book Homeopathy and Minerals has not been
incorporated into this module yet.) Jan Scholten’s system is designed according
to his understanding of the relationship between the structure of Mendelejev’s Periodic
Table of Elements and the Homeopathic remedies that are prepared from those elements. |
Like RADAR, the repertory program, it is not designed to choose a remedy for the
patient. Rather it helps narrow down the remedy choices so you can do further research
into the suggested remedy or remedies. Fortunately the research is easy to do with
the Scholten module, as the text of Homeopathy and the Elements is embedded into
the program. |

Luc De Schepper Module |
Dr. Luc De Schepper (USA) has created a module that will assist you in retrieving
and hierarchising the symptoms following his model. A wizard will lead you through
finding these symptoms:
- The local, chief complaint
- The never well since symptoms
- The mental, emotional symptoms
- The general, physical symptoms
- The sleep and sexual symptoms
- Food and drinks symptoms
At each step, you will be led to those sections in the repertory where these symptoms
are present. You can search for the relevant symptom by concept by words or by finding
the rubric in a step-wise way from the chapter downwards. |

Dr. Giampietro’s Miasmatic Analysis |
Dr. Giampietro (Argentina) has labelled all symptoms with miasmatic flags. As a
result, once you make the analysis, you will see a pie chart showing you the miasmatic
preponderance of the symptoms you took (e.g. red for psora). You select the miasm,
you desire and only the symptoms pertaining to that miasm will be repertorized. |

The Boenninghausen’s method in RADAR |
The Böenninghausen Analysis Module is a momentous development, eagerly awaited by
homeopaths around the globe. Master practitioners like Close, Boger and Roberts
used Böenninghausen’s method - and now anyone can apply the same method to any repertory
data they have in their RADAR package. Böenninghausen’s approach offers an expanded
analysis and can be a valuable alternative to a Kentian approach - especially in
cases with limited mental symptoms. With this module, easy-to-use wizards will step
you through a Böenninghausen case analysis, using repertories preferred. Use FIVE
Böenninghausen repertories at the same time. |
With the Böenninghausen Analysis Module you now have an analysis application that
takes maximum advantage of : |
1. Böenninghausen’s Therapeutic Pocket Book |
2. Boger-Böenninghausen Repertory |
3. Boger’s Synoptic Key |
4. Boger’s General Analysis |
5. Böenninghausen’s Systematisch-Alphabetisches Repertorium |
With the Böenninghausen analysis module one can |
- Search rubrics by text or number
- Search and analyze rubrics/ symptoms in one or all repertories
- List symptoms per remedy
- Use automatic calculation of the leading remedy
- Restrict degrees
- Identify frequency of remedies
- Compare remedies
- Indicate the intensity of interrogation
Contemporary authorities |
In developing this module, Archibel consulted with leading contemporary authorities
on the Böenninghausen method, and they have each given their stamp of approval to
the finished product: Bernhard Bloesy (Germany), Guy Coquillart (Belgium), Ulrich
Fischer (Germany), Isidre Lara (Spain), José Matuk (Mexico), D.P. Rastogi (India),
Will Taylor (US). |

RADAR Concepts |
The Concepts Finder is an aid to find and use less known repertory symptoms related
to well known concepts. The available concepts are: women, children, old people,
mental health, first aid, acute diseases, mind symptoms (Dragos), veterinary health,
etc. It is great new tool to translate your patient’s language into repertory rubrics.
There are now 17 concept chapters in Synthesis 9.2 Treasure Edition (including 5
new chapters). They include 10.268 concepts (among others 6.146 new concepts). A
patient may not provide the most accurate words to describe how he or she is feeling.
This can sometimes make diagnosis very difficult for a homeopath. Now you can find
the rubric that truly matches your patient’s condition or be directed toward rubrics
you never knew existed. Concepts sets RADAR apart from any other homeopathic software
program that is currently available. With Concepts, finding any symptom in the repertory
is as easy as a few simple mouse clicks. The Concepts Module for RADAR stretches
through the entire Synthesis Repertory, considerably simplifying the search for
symptoms by using the words and expressions of the patient as a point of departure.
In addition, you can build up your own Concepts, or add to already existing ones. |
User friendly |
The use of the Concepts Finder starts from a central screen which gives easy access
to a series of concepts. You can open that screen through the menu (“View - Concepts
finder”). Each image on this screen stands for a different concept, a collection
of related symptoms. When you move your mouse over such an image, an explanation
is given. If then you click on an image, a wizard opens to help you select the symptoms
of this concept. |
Three Ways of using Concepts and Themes |
- Finding a concept from a rubric
- From the book having Concepts and find the clinical picture you are looking for and
find the rubrics for same
- Concepts may also be attached to remedies

Remedy ‘family’ |
Here the family does not have the literal meaning of word ‘family’. All remedies
of materia medica has been divided into 5 sections and further into many subsections
(families). |
RADAR offers you different possibilities for approaching possible remedy : |
-
As a default, RADAR uses the 5 sections (plants, minerals, animals, related remedies
and Böenninghausen concordances) for this display. There are over 3000 families
to choose from these basic five sections. You can ask for repertorization to be
limited to any of these sections
- You can perform an analysis with a specific family (or group of families)
- Also, you can give a family (or group of families) more importance in an analysis
