Unpublished Authors

We receive hundreds of manuscripts that are publication worthy and yet we end up turning them down due to a variety of reasons, such as resource limitations, the subject matter not directly related to our current publishing focus or redundant with our existing list, caters very niche market and thus making it financially unviable to publish.

We however understand that the author has invested a lot his time and effort is writing a book and all his efforts need to be appreciated. Attempts to address this situation by providing publishing services in a special manner we make sure that we make all those efforts worthwhile. The primary objective of this service is to facilitate the publication of good work regardless of their market potential.

Print on Demand
Print on Demand is a facility which allows us to make the book available even with zero stocks. The books are only published as many as required at that point of time. It minimizes the risk and makes the book available for a long time. This reduces the warehousing and inventory cost to a great extent. We then market these books online and catalogue them and display them in the book fairs. We do all the pre-press work but the author pays the pre-press costs. Pre-press work typically includes copy-editing, page design and layout, cover design and preparation, and index generation (optional) If a work comes to us in a "print ready" form that meets our acceptance criteria, the pre-press costs can be drastically lower. The author however receives few free copies and also is entitled to royalty on sales of each book.

Author Partnerships
If the manuscript is interesting and holds a mass market appeal but similar books are available or if the publisher is not interested in taking a risk then authors can work as investors in the project. The author can opt for this option if the author has the conviction that the book has potential to sell and thinks this requires larger quantities. All the processes from Pre Press to Post Press, Marketing is handled by us but the author has to pay for all the services and printing of the book for the first print run. The Publisher will give free copies to the author and will also market these books in the market. The author would receive 10% royalty on every sale of the book.
